Purdue’s new mobile unit is making stops throughout Indiana to bring hearing care close to home — especially in rural areas where hearing tests aren’t as easy to access as in urban areas. 

The new mobile unit of Purdue’s Accessible Precision Audiology Research Center will provide hearing services at the following 2026 events:  

  • June 27: Girl Scouts hearing science education event in Terre Haute 
  • July 10: Hearing testing at the Family Health Clinic of Delphi 
  • Sept. 9-10: Hearing screenings at the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) event at the Tippecanoe County Fair Grounds 
  • Sept. 17: “Cocktails @ Camp 2026: Dellwood Through the Decades” in Indianapolis  
  • Sept. 29: Hearing screenings at the Cass County Health Fair and Vaccine Clinic 
  • Nov. 1: Hearing screenings at the Tippecanoe County 2026 Stand Down sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs 

The mobile unit has visited the following Indiana cities: 

  • Albion 
  • Frankfort 
  • Indianapolis 
  • Logansport 
  • Terre Haute 
  • Williamsport
